Associate Consultants

 

JULIA STAFFORD

 

Julia Stafford has over twenty years’ experience as a consultant and researcher, working particularly in the areas of social inclusion, voluntary sector and community development, and regeneration.  She has substantial experience of designing and delivering evaluations of projects, combining quantitative and qualitative data to develop meaningful findings. 

 

Between 1990 and 2003 she worked for a national charity (Crime Concern) designing, managing and delivering consultancy and training contracts for a range of clients, local and national. This included managing community projects and consultancy contracts (partnership development and support, auditing and strategic planning, target setting, implementation support, project evaluation). More recently she has undertaken a range of assignments for voluntary and community sector organisations – local and national – including a number of evaluations.

 

ALISON MATHER

 

Alison Mather is an experienced and skilled consultant, researcher and trainer with considerable knowledge and understanding of public and voluntary sector issues and concerns. 

 

As Senior Consultant at the national crime reduction charity Crime Concern, Principle Consultant at the Evaluation Trust and more recently as an independent consultant, Alison has evaluated national and local projects and initiatives; researched best practice both in the UK and internationally; and produced strategic and operational recommendations for clients and stakeholders.  

ANNAMARIE BALRAM

Annamarie Balram has a strong background in Senior Management within the Third and commercial sectors with extensive experience in service, staff and financial management as well as project and programme development. She has an unrivalled track record in fundraising having secured funding for a variety of organisations, projets and programmes, from such sources as The Big Lottery Fund; The Tudor Trust; The Church Urban Fund: Porticus UK and Lloyds TSB.

 

Annamarie has extensive experience of developing projects from conception; including responding to and implementing change and of recruiting, training and managing people from all backgrounds and abilities. Annamarie is particularly adept at recruiting and developing volunteer services.

 

She has more than 20 years experience of project development including being instrumental in the set up, delivery and development of projects working at a local level with low-income families suffering from social deprivation; bringing innovation to address and profile the issues faced by families of prisoners which was nominated for a national award; and addressing the needs of offenders in order to support their resettlement and raise the profile of a socially excluded group to the community.
